The team behind the project

Tom LLoyd and Adrian Lochhead at the launch of Epona, Reghed April 2024

Tom LLoyd is a film maker, podcaster, Fell pony breeder and owner of Fell Pony Adventures.

In 1995 Tom travelled the length of England and back again with a pair of Fell ponies. Whilst trotting along the green lanes and byways of Wiltshire, Tom passed by the great white horses of Uffington and Westbury, and from that point onwards has had a dream to create a large-scale horse in the north of England. Over the last 30 years Tom has witnessed the decline of the semi-feral herds and is on a mission to raise awareness of their plight.

Adrian Lochhead is the Director of Eden Arts who are are a key arts agency in Cumbria, creating projects that are accessible, relevant and quite often fun.

Adrian and Tom are good friends as well as colleagues and have worked together on various projects, they have a shared passion for art, culture, land, and people.  Epona is their biggest project to date.
